Max Bartko, one of the five original senior partners of Direct Media Inc., has retired from the firm effective Aug. 10.
"We're really going to miss him," chairman and founder Dave Florence said yesterday.
Florence said Bartko, who spent 20 years with the Greenwich, CT-based company, had tendered his resignation last December to be effective June 30. However, CEO Jerry Schillinger, who replaced Dave Florence in March, had asked Bartko to stay on for a few more weeks to help with the transition, Florence said.
