Arthur Blank Offers Multi-Function Cards

Card marketing solutions provider Arthur Blank & Co. introduced a new multi-function card on Friday, combining joint marketing programs with multi-application promotional campaigns.

The new DualCard from the Boston-based provider will offer two standard credit-card-sized cards on a single break-apart sheet. It will be suited for combined loyalty and gift card programs, membership and access control, or two individualized memberships, the company said. For example, it will allow two retailers—such as a bookstore and a coffee chain—to join in combination gift, loyalty or coupon promotions. A hotel or casino could issue a room key that also serves as a players’ or members’ card. The cards can also carry two unique ID numbers for the use of the cardholder and a family member.

“The card marketing industry is growing to the point where many functions are beginning to naturally overlap,” said Eric Blank, executive vice president for the company. “Our new DualCard gives companies the flexibility to design any multi-use program.”
