Arc Formalizes Landsberg’s Leadership

Arc Worldwide has put President Marc Landsberg in charge of the $98 million agency and named Andrew Edwards president of Arc Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Landsberg, a Leo Burnett USA veteran who’s been with Arc just over a year, took the reins at Arc last month when CEO Nick Brien abruptly left Arc to join Universal McCann as president-CEO. Chicago-based Arc has lost a handful of top execs in recent months, with Landsberg picking up some of their responsibilities along the way (Aug. 9 Xtra).

Landsberg will work with Leo Burnett Worldwide CEO Tom Bernardin to drive Arc’s growth through collaboration with Burnett.

“I have a vision for our future— how we can deliver big, campaignable ideas that cross channels and cross time, and which drive transactions by changing consumer behavior,” Landsberg said in a statement.

Landsberg had been Burnett’s chief strategy and innovations officer before joining Arc as president in August 2004.

Meanwhile, Edwards takes charge of Arc’s EMEA operations. He had been managing director of Leo Burnett Sydney and continues as Arc’s global discipline leader for direct marketing.

Arc ranked No. 15 in the 2005 PROMO 100 with estimated net revenues of $98 million for 2004, up 7% from 2002.
