Allstate Life Group of Companies, Northbrook, IL, has hired John Hershberger to be its assistant vice president, database marketing. Hershberger joined Allstate yesterday, coming over from Toycity.com, where he served as chief technology officer.
In his new position, Hershberger will be responsible for Allstate's database development, lead management support and data analysis. He will report to senior vice president of marketing Peggy Dyer.
Prior to joining Toycity.com, Hershberger was director of database management at Ameritech Corp. He also served as director, customer retention and database marketing for Providian Corp.
