American List Counsel has been tapped to manage the Sporting News Subscriber file with 695,000 records, as of March 1.
Sporting News is a weekly magazine that covers the big seven sports, including football, basketball, baseball, hockey, car racing and college football and basketball. Sporting News is also a developer of sports fantasy games, sports annuals, guides and coffee table books.
Subscribers are mostly men with a median age of 36 and a median household income of $59,000. More than half have been subscribers for more than five years. The source of subscriptions is direct mail.
Also available is a 54,165-name last-30-day hotline and a 142,710-name last-three-month hotline. Selections include business/home address, Canadian, change of address, gender, paid, source, and state/SCF/ZIP. The file is priced at $95 per thousand. Millard Group Inc. had managed the file.
