Advo Inc. will combine its separate midweek and weekend mailings into a single drop, which will reach consumers’ homes on Thursdays and Fridays. The combined mailings are scheduled to start on Sept. 5.
The Windsor, CT-based shared mail distributor had added a midweek delivery, which went into mailboxes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, last January. But changes in market conditions, and advertisers’ stated desire to be in mailboxes just before the weekend, led the company to combine the mailings.
The company did not return calls regarding what this would do to the total weekly mail volume. Currently mailings reach 1.5 million households each week.
