Adam & Eve, an adult products marketer based in Hillsborough, NC, has launched a billboard program in Toronto. The outdoor ads feature a special Web page (www.adameve.ca), and offer a free DVD, which offers an introduction to the company’s wares.
The billboard program, which launched Dec. 1, initially consists of two images: The first features four young adults (fully clothed) in an athletic, sporty setting, and the second pictures a more mature couple – jumping on a bed. The caption on both: “Put a Party in Your Pants!”
In a statement, the company indicated that it anticipates some controversy will follow the installation of the billboards. According to a spokesperson, Adam & Eve last used billboard advertising in North America several years ago, when it put up several in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Houston.
