Advertising.com Inc., a Baltimore-based media direct marketing company, has launched AdBroadcast, a service that will reward consumers in exchange for receiving targeting marketing messages on their wireless phones or pagers.

Enrollment for AdBroadcast is free and upon registering for the service, advertisements will be delivered directly to a user's wireless phone or text messaging based pager. With each message received, users earn between five and 50 credits (each worth approximately one U.S. cent) to use against their monthly service fee or airtime charges, or for anything else they wish.

Users can earn additional revenue by referring friends, family members and coworkers to join AdBroadcast. With AdBroadcast, national companies can advertise directly to consumers including ads with their local area phone number or store location in the message.
