Donnelley Marketing has named Brad Tonyes president, replacing Dan Gust who is retiring after 34 years. Gust will be involved over the next few months as part of a planned succession.
Tonyes has been with Donnelley for seven years. Starting in sales and being promoted to vice president of sales, he also held the position of acting president during Gust’s sabbatical leave last summer.
Prior to this appointment, Tonyes was vice president of sales and held other sales positions within since 2002.
Previously, he worked as an account executive for Affinitas, a small boutique direct marketing agency. Before that, he worked with Fortune 500 companies such as GE as an account executive at I.C. System, a data processing and production company for direct mail marketing and at Advo, a company focused on shared mail programs.
Tonyes also worked for several years in the insurance and financial services industry, managing direct to consumer marketing operations for companies such as Golden Rule, Blue Cross Blue Shield of the Midwest and American Modern Home.

Over the past three decades, Gust has held various positions in sales and operations management, as well as system and computer operations.
Gust will continue to be involved in the day-to-day operations at Donnelley until mid-September.
