One of our favorite journalism professors—alas, now dead—used to say the best editors have the filthiest minds. The reason dirty-minded editors are so good, he said, is they can spot headlines and sentences with embarrassing double meanings before they’re published.
Well, the editors at Silicon.com must be absolute prudes. The online tech publication posted a story yesterday reporting that the judge in e-mail marketer e360 Insight’s lawsuit against anti-spam group Spamhaus ruled against e360’s request to have Spamhaus shut down.
The headline: “Spamhaus beats off the lawyers.”
Well, at least now we know how Spamhaus is paying its legal bills.
