Deliverability specialist Spencer Kollas has left messaging service provider Premiere Global Services to start offering deliverability consulting at e-mail technology provider StrongMail.
As the newest addition to StrongMail’s professional services group, Kollas will offer the company’s clients consultation so they can fix more deliverability problems on their own. He said marketers’ deliverability problems often stem simply from a lack of list hygiene.
“I am going to be working with clients to help them be as self-sufficient as possible,” said Kollas.
Deliverability has become an increasingly crucial subject among e-mail marketers as the spam problem has forced e-mail inbox providers to get ever more strict on the e-mail they’ll accept.
Kollas is the second executive who was part of Accucast to leave Premiere Global since it acquired the e-mail service provider last February. Tricia Robinson, Accucast’s co-founder, resigned from Premiere Global Services in October.
Kollas said his departure from Premiere Global Services was not connected to Robinson’s and should not be taken as a negative reflection on Premiere Global.
“They were great,” he said. “StrongMail just offered an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”
StrongMail offers technology and software mainly aimed at large enterprises that want to bring their e-mail capabilities in-house.
