JangoMail announced today it has added geo-tracking reporting to its e-mail marketing software.
According to a release put out by the company, its geo-tracking reports will allow marketers to determine where e-mail recipients are by city, state, country and zip code through their open, click and Web site activity.
Also according to JangoMail, geo-tracking permits e-mail marketers to segment data by location or by a specific distance from a particular location.
For example, according to the company, JangoMail users can filter reporting results to show data from recipients who are based within a particular mile radius from a certain zip code.
JangoMail has also integrated with Google Maps to provide its clients with a visual overlay of geo-tracking data showing where opens, clicks and Web page views and conversions originated, according to the company.
“We are pleased to introduce geo-tracking to our customers who want to determine the location of the recipients of their e-mail marketing campaign,” said Ajay Goel, president of JangoMail, in a statement. “Segmentation and geo-targeting continue to be hot topics in the e-mail marketing industry and we believe the new geo-tracking reporting functionality will bring critical intelligence to e-mail marketers.”
