E-mail marketing software-on-demand provider ExactTarget announced today it has launched an international division in London following the acquisition of U.K.-based Keymail Marketing.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The new division—which will now serve as the headquarters for ExactTarget`s operations outside of North America—allows the company to directly support the international needs of its multinational clients and expands its offerings to marketers in the growing UK and European markets, ExactTarget said in a statement.
"Our new London operation allows us to better serve our global clients," said Scott Dorsey, co-founder and chief executive officer of ExactTarget, in the statement. "The acquisition of Keymail Marketing is a key component of our aggressive global expansion plan and provides tremendous opportunity to penetrate the UK and European market."
Founded in 2005, Keymail Marketing was a reseller of ExactTarget`s technology to more than 70 European clients including Reed Exhibitions, Aurora Fashions, Aegon, Value Retail, British Standards Institute, Gulf Air, Carrier International, UKTI, Utimaco and QlikTech.
"We have enjoyed a long relationship with ExactTarget and have relied on the company`s software for years to power the campaigns of our European clients," stated Jeff Barnes, general manager of Keymail Marketing. "This transaction provides our clients new resources to grow their email marketing and one-to-one marketing campaigns through direct access to ExactTarget`s expanded global product line."
As of today, ExactTarget co-founder Peter McCormick leads the company`s international operation from London as general manager of ExactTarget Global.
