The Yankee Candle Co. Inc. has approved Madison Dearborn Partners LLC's $1.7 billion acquisition of the firm.
Under the terms of the agreement announced last fall, Yankee stockholders will receive $34.75 in cash, without interest, for each share of common stock they hold (Direct Newsline, Oct.26).
The transaction is expected to close next month.
