TA Associates Buys M and M Direct

TA Associates, a private equity firm, has bought M and M Direct Ltd., a U.K. online and mail order retailer of sports apparel and footwear, for an undisclosed sum

Steve Robinson, former chief executive officer of Tesco Direct, will join M and M as CEO.

Based in Leominster, U.K., M and M sells more than 230 brands of men's, women's and children's apparel and footwear.
