Spiegel Brands Acquires Two Catalogs

Golden Gate Capital, parent company of cataloger Spiegel Brands Inc., has acquired Carabella Corp. and its Carabella and A.B. Lambdin catalogs.

Terms were not disclosed.

Each catalog will continue to operate independently.

"With the addition of the two brands, we have significantly increased our offering of swimwear and elegant eveningwear," said Stefan Kaluzny, a managing director at Golden Gate, in a statement. "Furthermore, adding Carabella's two brands to our eight existing catalog titles creates ever greater opportunities for each to benefit from the scale and expertise of the group."
