The Postal Regulatory Commission has approved the U.S. Postal Service’s proposal to offer reduced rates on certain types of first class mail, according to a Federal Register filing.
Under the proposal, the USPS will offer eligible companies a 20% postage rebate on qualifying presorted first-class letter, flat and postcards mailed between Oct 1 and Dec. 31.
This program is designed as a short-term incentive to promote the use of presorted first-class mail during the current economic downturn (Direct Newsline, Aug. 13). To learn more, click here http://directmag.com/mail/news/postal-first-class-discount-0813/index.html
