Subway Names New CMO

Subway has appointed Tony Pace as senior VP and CMO of the Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust (SFAFT). His appointment is effective Jan. 23.

In his new role, Pace will oversee integrated marketing and advertising programs for the chain’s nearly 25,000 sandwich shops. He replaces Chris Carroll, who left the position in September.

Pace formerly worked as executive VP and group managing director for McCannErickson Worldwide. During his tenure at McCann, Pace managed brands including Coca-Cola, Burger King and Capital One.

“Tony brings us a wealth of experience both within the QSR category and beyond, across a wide range of marketing and advertising disciplines,” said Tom Seddon, CEO and executive director of SFAFT, in a statement. “I am delighted that we’ve been able to attract someone of his talent, knowledge and energy to our team.”
