Wunderman has bought interactive agency Bridge Worldwide.
The Cincinnati shop complements Wunderman's direct-marketing expertise with relationship-marketing work, primarily for Procter & Gamble (including P&G BrandSAVER, PG.com and at least 15 brands). In exchange, Bridge gets access to Wunderman resources globally.
"Bridge Worldwide's depth of online and healthcare experience complements Wunderman's, and we both share the same philosophies about the power of customer relationships and online dialog," said Wunderman Chairman-CEO Daniel Morel in a statement.
Bridge Worldwide will run as an independent unit of WPP-owned Wunderman under current management, led by President-CEO Jay Woffington. The shop employs 120 staffers.
"This move allows us to tap into the expertise and the global scale of the network while maintaining our entrepreneurial culture and our flexible creative and strategic approach for our clients," Woffington said in a statement.
Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. Investment bank AdMedia Partners, New York, represented Bridge in the deal.
