Warner Home Video, Burbank, CA, is hyping the May 29 home-video release of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” with an online game dubbed Owl Prowl, running in 12 countries.
Fans register at owlsightings.com to answer “Potter”-related questions. Each correct answer takes users to other Web sites–including the home pages of Cartoon Network, Yahooligans, Neopets, and Nickelodeon–to answer additional questions and “catch” other owls. Top players (or “owl prowlers”) worldwide are ranked on owlsightings.com.
All answers earn an entry into a sweeps that will award one walk-on role in an upcoming “Potter” flick, and 10 first-place trips to London for the fall premiere of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” Other prizes are T-shirts, posters, and postcards. EastWest Creative, New York City, handles.
