To hype its Get it Now cell phone service, Verizon Wireless will tonight be integrated into an episode of the ABC comedy “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” starring Jack Ritter. Several of the Get it Now features-such as game playing, text messaging and downloading ring tones-will be shown during the sitcom. Viewers who log onto www.abc.com (http://www.abc.com ) and identify all the ways the characters use their phones will be entered into a sweepstakes dangling eight grand prizes, including a Verizon Get it Now color wireless phone, plus $8,000 worth of service. Eighty first-place prizes will also be awarded. Bedminster, NJ-based Verizon Wireless and ABC Television Networks, New York City, handled in-house.
