TracyLocke Taps Coors Veteran Askew

Coors Brewing Co. veteran Ron Askew is joining TracyLocke as CEO in a return to the agency side.

He succeeds Ed Winter, who becomes chairman of Dallas-based TracyLocke.

Askew had been CMO at Coors since 2001; he moved there from The Integer Group, the agency he co-founded (as Integer Agency) in 1993 with Coors as its flagship client. Omnicom Group bought Integer in 2001.

This is Askew’s third stint at TracyLocke. He interned at the shop in 1975-76 before moving to Frito-Lay (a TracyLocke client), then returned to the agency in 1986 as director of account service and research/consumer planning.

“TracyLocke now leads the industry in redefining the role an agency plays in building clients’ brands. Rejoining TracyLocke at this exciting time in its growth is a great opportunity,” Askew said in a statement.
