Tiffany & Co. posted net earnings of $28 million for the third quarter, off 20% from $35.2 million last year.
Net sales for the quarter ended Oct. 31 were $430.1 million, up 18% from $366 million last year.
Direct marketing sales in the third quarter rose 5% to $39,311,000. Combined Internet/catalog sales increased 23% in the quarter.
The jewelry direct marketer and retailer attributed these results to “geographically broad-based sales growth in most of Tiffany’s domestic and international markets.”
