SPSS Inc. reported net income of $3.2 million for the third quarter, down 9% from $3.6 million last year.
The database marketing services company reported net revenue of $52.6 million for the period ended Sept. 30, up 10% from $48 million last year.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, the Chicago-based firm posted net income of $4.7 million, off 15% from $5.6 million last year.
Net revenue for the period of $155 million was up 11% from $139.2 million last year.
“I think we performed reasonably well in the current quarter,” said president/CEO Jack Noonan, in a statement. “This progress was made despite a tough business environment and a restructuring of our worldwide field operations, reducing the sales force by 25% and total headcount by 7%.”
