The Spiegel Group reported sales of $162.7 million for the four weeks ended Jan. 26, an 8% decrease from $176.8 million for the comparable period last year.
Total direct sales declined 5% but online sales rose by 30%.
By division, Eddie Bauer sales decreased 7%, Newport News, 8% and Spiegel 11%. Retail sales decreased 13%.
