Court upholds Washington state e-mail rules

A Washington law governing unsolicited commercial e-mail was upheld last month in a unanimous opinion by the state Supreme Court. That law, the Commercial Electronic Mail Act, prohibits misrepresentation in the subject line or transmission path of e-mail sent to state residents.
