Snap, Crackle, Pop Star in Jingle Contest

Kellogg Co. has given Snap, Crackle and Pop a makeover and a new jingle for Rice Krispies’ 75th anniversary.

The Battle Creek, MI-brand celebrates with a Jammin’ Jingle contest inviting kids to sing the new jingle That’s Who We Are. Participants compete for a chance to win a trip for two to the Nov. 5 Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, TN.

Kids submit a videotape of themselves and up to two friends singing the jingle (which they can hear at www.ricekrispies.com) to vie in the four-to-eight or nine-to-12 age categories (there’s one grand prize for each age group). First prize (30) is a Hasbro Easy Bake Oven Rice Krispies Snack Shoppe, 14 boxes of Rice Krispies, four country CDs and a CMA T-shirt. The contest runs through Sept. 29.
