Barnesandnoble.com has launched a multi-million dollar advertising campaign. The company will use authors and entertainers including John Gray, Emeril Lagasse and Barry White to kick off the campaign featuring the tag line “We bring writers home. “
Supermarket chain Albertson’s Inc., Boise, ID, has plans to move into the online grocery business with a Web site and special Albertsons.com store in the Seattle area. The site and store will reportedly enable Seattle area shoppers to order groceries online and receive deliveries in as little as 90 minutes. Doors will open at noon on Wednesday in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue.
Messaging services provider, Mail.com Inc., New York, has acquired www.Singapore.com, the Web portal and the domain name. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The acquisition adds to the company’s lengthy list of geographic domain name properties including India.com, Europe.com, USA.com, Asia.com, Japan.com and Tokyo.com.
