Smith & Hawken is opening a 3,500 square-foot store in Marlton, N.J. on Nov. 29. The store is the company’s 49th retail location and the fourth Smith & Hawken has opened in 2002.

Real Branding, a San Francisco-based interactive agency, has assumed responsibility for Barclays Global Investors online direct marketing services. The focus will be on creative communications for BGI’s iShares Index Funds tools, products and strategies. Real Branding’s involvement will range from online creative strategy to campaign development and production.

Thane Direct has started a 24-hour direct response television shopping channel in the Middle East. Shop Around the Clock, which broadcasts in Arabic, will reach 16 Middle Eastern countries. Toronto-based Thane Direct, a DRTV company, has aired infomercials for Body Vibes, Pest Offense, Ab Doer and other products in this region since 1998.
