Cataloger/retailer Sharper Image Corp., based in San Francisco, reported record fourth quarter earnings of $9.4 million, a 62% improvement over last year’s $5.8 million.
Total revenues were $110.9 million, 15% higher than the prior year’s $96.1 million. Catalog sales increased 25% to $36.8 million from last year’s $29.4 million, including an increase in Internet sales of 243% to $3 million from last year’s $900,000.
For the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, earnings were $4.6 million, a 671% percent improvement over last year’s $593,000.
Total revenue increased 12% to $243.1 million from last year’s $216.8 million. Catalog sales rose 24% to $79.1 million from last year’s $63.6 million, including an increase of 202% from Internet sales to $4.9 million from last year’s $1.6 million.
