Scion Holds Hunt on Second Life to Benefit MS

Car maker Scion is using a scavenger hunt on virtual world Second Life to activate it sponsorship of an event to benefit the national Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The goal of the hunt is to increase awareness of MS and to raise funds.

Players can enter through June 17 at TheMSFly.org.

Once registered, the participants become avatars and receive an MS Fly cape, which lets them fly to great heights. They also wear a Scion beanie.

As they fly along, players look for clues that let them access new phases of the hunt. Each phase brings a new incentive and more funds for MS.

Players who complete the hunt get a chance to win one of 20 flying virtual Scion xB vehicles, produced exclusively for the event.

Scion is also expanding Scion City on Second Life, adding new shops, houses, work and living spaces.
