Sara Lee CMO to Leave Post

Sara Lee Food & Beverage’s chief marketing officer plans to leave the post next month after nearly three years with the company.

Kim Feil is stepping down to pursue general management opportunities outside of Sara Lee. Her last day is May 15, a company spokesperson said.

Feil has been working at Sara Lee as senior vice president and chief marketing officer leading all marketing efforts for the company’s retail brands in North America, including Sara Lee, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park and Senseo. She joined Sara Lee Food & Beverage from Kimberly-Clark Corp. where she was vice president and senior marketing officer of the firm’s North Atlantic businesses. Feil has worked at Cadbury Schweppes, Information Resources, Inc., and Pepsico in marketing, sales and strategic planning positions.

Philippe Schaillee, Sara Lee’s vice president for beverage and snacking, will replace Feil in a new position as vice president of marketing, strategy and research and development, the spokesman said. In his new role, Schaille, who has been with the company since 1994, will oversee insights, category management, pricing, innovation and R&D. He will report to Christopher J. Fraliegh, Sara Lee’s chief operating officer.
