The Reader’s Digest Association Inc. reported net income of $1 million for the third quarter, compared to a net loss of $129.6 million last year.
The direct marketing and publishing giant reported revenue of $547.4 million for the quarter ended March 31, up from revenue of $544.9 million last year.
“Third quarter results were below our expectations, driven mainly by challenges at our Books Are Fun business,” said Eric Schrier, CEO of the Pleasantville, NY firm in a statement.
