Ogilvy Names Scott As Head of Branded Entertainment Division

Ogilvy & Mather North America has named branded entertainment leader Doug Scott to the newly created role of executive director, branded content and entertainment. The appointment went into effect in mid June.

In his new role, Scott is working to link together Ogilvy’s resources, from brand integration, events to promotion and p.r., to create new ideas and options for clients and build up the agency’s content offering.

“Doug’s job is to go beyond the brief to help us develop and execute big, non-traditional brand ideas that will help build our clients’ brands through ownership of branded content,” said Carla Hendra, co-CEO of Ogilvy & Mather North America in a statement.

Most recently, Scott worked in his own entertainment consulting company, which he formed in 2006. Prior to that, School worked 18 months as senior VP/general manager for entertainment and p.r. company Bragman Nyman Cafarelli. Scott previously worked as executive VP-marketing and branded entertainment creative director at Hypnotic where he created and produced the Chrysler million Dollar Film Festival, as well as other campaigns for Reebok, Nintendo and Toyota.
