Football widows beware. The 2002-2003 season begins this Thursday with the New York City and National Football League presenting “NFL Kickoff Live From Times Square.” The event will feature pop stars Enrique Iglesias, Eve, and Alicia Keyes as well as a halftime concert by Bon Jovi at Giants Stadium during the New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers game. Clear Channel Entertainment, San Antonio, TX, will produce the events.
A radio contest is also being featured on 275 Clear Channel stations around the country that is offering 20 listeners and guests a trip to New York City to attend the event as VIP guests of the NFL and Def Jam Music Group. Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., Chicago, is sponsoring the national contest, although Clear Channel is also making the promotion open to local marketers.
