In a first for the whiskey brand, consumers can have a personalized message stitched onto the flannel bag in the same gold thread used to stitch the brand name. Two-line messages (up to 20 characters) cost $4.99 and take six to eight weeks for turnaround. The offer appears in-pack and online at www.CrownRoyal.com, and runs through June 2004. BLACK VELVET CANADIAN WHISKEY: is sponsoring the Gilbert Days Rodeo Nov. 21-23 as part of the annual Gilbert Days celebration, a week-long event that includes a pony express re-enactment, a 1K and 5K run, the rodeo and the festival.

SESAME WORKSHOP: New York City, promoted Bill Burke to assistant VP-marketing and hired Natasha Fishman as director of retail business development. Prior to joining the Workshop, Burke was director of profit improvement services at Foot Locker, Inc. Most recently, Fishman was the director of merchandising for online stores for Scholastic, Inc.
