MARKETING WERKS: Chicago, last month hired Chris Hartweg as senior account manager, a new post at the mobile-marketing shop. Hartweg had been director of sponsorships for Clear Channel Entertainment’s music division in Chicago, handling work in Illinois and Wisconsin venues. Marketing Werks also promoted four staffers in the last month: Eric Baker to senior director of client service (from director of client service); Kristin Nihill to senior account manager (from account manager); and Cari De Ville and Carrie Hennessey to senior account coordinators (from account coordinators).
TRACYLOCKE: Dallas, promoted two staffers in its Wilton, CT office on June 1. Curtiss Bruno became client services director (from group account director) and Carl Sastram became group creative director (from creative director).
OMNICOM’S DIRECT MARKETING SHOP: LLKFB, New York, has changed its name to Unit 7, borrowing the title of a jazz tune to illustrate “collaborative invention.” The shop also hired Lita Sands as chief client services director, a new post; she had been an LLKFB client as the head of Pfizer’s Relationship Marketing Group.
CRN CONNECTICUT: Hamden, CT, hired Bob Gall as account manager, a new post at the radio-content provider. Gall had been at Cox Radio Connecticut. CRN Connecticut is a division of radio promotions shop CRN International.
HANES: has signed singer/actress Jennifer Love Hewitt to star in its new ad campaign. As part of the partnership, Hewitt will appear in print ads touting the Hanes Perfect Panty in women’s consumer magazines this month. The partnership marks the first between Hewitt and Hanes.
