BY KIDS FOR KIDS CO.: has entered a global marketing partnership with Mattel, which allows the toymaker the right of first refusal for toy and game concepts invented by kid inventors the company represents. The goal of the partnership is to inspire and stimulate kids’ creativity via product innovation, co-branding and marketing the best kid-invented toys. Mattel will also be the exclusive presenting toy sponsor of the By Kids for Kids-Xerox 2005 National Invention Competition and sponsor of the company’s Brainstorm challenge summer museum program. Submissions will be accepted this fall for toys, games and sporting goods ideas for the competition.

MGA ENTERTAINMENT: will further extend its Bratz brand with an all-new Bratz animated TV series to debut this fall on 4Kids Entertainment’s Saturday morning children’s programming block on FOX. The Bratz show will target girls ages six to 11. 4Kids’ TV fall lineup begins Sept. 10.

RENEGADE MARKETING GROUP: New York, hired Shana Lory as account planning director for Panasonic. Lory had been account planner at Euro RSCG; she replaces Tad Kittridge, who left to complete his MBA. Renegade ranked No. 77 in the 2005 PROMO 100 with 2004 net revenues of $5.2 million.

NEWS AMERICA MARKETING: New York, and The Sunflower Group, Overland Park, KS, will jointly sell Sunflowers’ NewsBag newspaper polybag sampling programs. News America sales reps will pitch Sunflower services to advertisers. Sunflower bought News America’s in-store sampling and demo business five years ago.
