TAMPICO BEVERAGES: Chicago, has promoted Richard M. Ross, 45, to VP-marketing. He will be responsible for continuing to build the company’s brand equity through new product innovation, consumer and trade advertising and promotions and p.r., in domestic and international markets, the company said. Ross joined Tampico Beverages in 2001 as director of marketing.
VIRGIN ENTERTAINMENT GROUP: North America has promoted Dee Mc Laughlin to director of brand marketing, effective immediately. In her new role, Mc Laughlin oversees online and off line brand communication, including marketing and p.r. initiatives for Virgin Megastores and Virgin Entertainment Group. She also continues to manage the creative and production teams, and will oversee Virgin’s product marketing group. Previously, Mc Laughlin worked as senior manager, creative and content for the company. In addition, Virgin has named Wayne Scholes as director of strategic marketing, effective immediately. In his new role, Scholes oversees strategic partnerships, regional marketing support, traffic driving initiatives, event management and helps develop new marketing revenue streams. Scholes manages the field marketing and partnership team.
