New Marketing Alliances For AOL Mexico

Blockbuster will distribute free America Online Mexico software to its best consumers by mail as well as have AOL Mexico displays in its 80 plus outlets in Mexico City.

Blockbuster is just one of four consumer brands partnering with AOL to promote AOL Mexico to targeted markets. Other retail partners include Sony, Tower Records, and Wal-Mart Mexico.

For example, AOL Mexico will bundle is free downloadable software in CDs of the number one music hit in Mexico OV7-CD00 (Sony). In addition, Mexican consumers buying Sony electronic products will find AOL CDs inside the boxes.

Tower and Wal-Mart Mexico (Superama, Aurrera, Bodega Aurrera, Wal-Mart Supercenter, and Sam’s Club) will provide in-store promotions.
