Barnes & Noble Inc., New York, has named Maureen O’Connell chief financial officer. She had been chief financial officer of Publishers Clearing House. Before PCH, where she was CFO at BMG Direct, the direct marketing music club division of Bertelsmann AG.
She replaces Marie Toulantis who was appointed CFO of Barnes & Noble.com, Inc., an online venture the bookseller owns with German publisher Bertelsmann.
