The top selling merchandise categories in the company’s direct marketing segment included furniture and rugs, linens, women’s contemporary sportswear and ladies’ shoes.
In the Neiman Marcus Group Inc.’s specialty stores segment, which includes the Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores, revenue decreased 3.3%.
Total revenues for the five weeks ended April 5 were $274 million, a 2.2% increase over the $268 million reported during the same period in 2003.
