Computer equipment DMer MPC is spending about $20,000 on a mailing this month to launch a “platinum” club for its best customers.
The Nampa, ID firm, which markets primarily to the government market and mid-sized companies, is sending out a mailing to 100 or so customers “who consistently spend at least $250,000 a year with us,” said marketing manager Angela Lewton.
The mailing will promote the new platinum status, which entitles customers to their own dedicated service mangers and other benefits.
Later in the third quarter, MPC will begin sending this group its own promotional offers by e-mails.
MPC sells desktop and notebook computers as well as servers and storage equipment online at www.buympc.com , by telemarketing and through its catalogs.
