Gov. Jesse Ventura of Minnesota is considering whether or not to sign a bill that would require ISPs to tell consumers when they plan to disclose personal information about them, the Associated Press reported.
If Ventura signs the bill into law, it would make the state the first to give Internet users such control.
Personal information would include which consumers’ e-mail, home addresses, telephone numbers or which Web sites they’ve visited.
