Discovery.com has named Christine Miller executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Miller will leave her current position as executive vice president of marketing at the Magazine Publishers of America to join Discovery.com at the beginning of August.
In her new role, Miller will guide all of the marketing, communications, market research and consumer advertising efforts. Her responsibilities will include the creation of marketing materials for both online and offline audiences, event promotion and planning, and management of public relations campaigns and corporate messaging.
She will also work in conjunction with teams representing the seven categories of Discovery.com, maximizing Discovery’s brand strengths across core vertical markets which include: Discoveries, Health, Animals, Travel, Lifestyles, School and Kids.
