The Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services has formed a task force to address the issues surrounding the prescribing of medicine through the Internet, over the phone and through mail order pharmacies.
The task force, made up of state licensing board members, health professionals, associations, and major employers, will meet for the first time on Jan. 31 in Lansing, MI.
The panel will review current rules, statutes and federal guidelines and regulations as well as security and privacy issues before making recommendations to the state agency.
