Metamorphics in Talks to Sell Brokerage Business to Mal Dunn

Sean Strub, founder of Metamorphics Media LLC, New York, is in discussions with Mal Dunn Associates, among other suitors, to sell its gay and lesbian list brokerage business, DIRECT Newsline has learned.

According to Croton Falls-NY based MDA president Stephen Dunn, Metamorphics, formerly Strubco,” has the gay, lesbian, and AIDS market cornered and we have the infrastructure to better serve the market.”

Talks with another earlier potential suitor, gay list company Triangle Marketing Services, “didn’t go anywhere,” president John Knoebel said. Triangle Marketing is owned by Liberation Publications which is to be merged with PlanetOut. A PlanetOut spokesperson said that merger talks with Metamorphics may resume.

Strub said he plans to remain in direct marketing. He is the owner of Community Prescription Services as well as Poz, a magazine about HIV and AIDS.
