MaxWorldwide Inc. has named William H. Mitchell as its CFO.
Mitchell, who most recently was CFO of Tally Systems Corp., will coordinate with the newly hired outside auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mitchell began his finance career at Pricewaterhouse where he became a Certified Public Accountant. He also served as executive vice president and CFO at Bigfoot Interactive in New York.
Last March, MaxWorldwide, then L90 Inc., placed its CFO Thomas A. Sebastian on administrative leave as the firm faced an investigation into its financial records by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company restated its 2001 financial results in May.
MaxWorldwide is an online ad sales and traditional direct marketing company based in New York.
