Lyris Technologies will buy Sparklist.com Corp. to boost its customer base and its capability to manage e-mail lists for an undisclosed sum, according to wire service reports.
Berkeley, CA-based Sparklist distributes 750 million e-mails and newsletters for large corporate customers.
Lyris, which is also in Berkeley, will maintain the acquired operations as an independent division under the Sparklist name. It will have its own service, staff and Web site http://www.sparklist.com
Sparklist is one of 3,000 firms that use Lyris’ software and services.
