DoubleClick Inc. has acquired SmartPath Inc., a firm that provides marketing resource management software. Financial terms of the all-cash deal were not disclosed.
The deal, which was announced at DoubleClick’s Insight conference in New York on Tuesday, is expected to close within several weeks.
SmartPath provides products to help marketers and agencies manage the operational aspects of marketing, including strategic planning, project management, workflow, document management and financial management. SmartPath offers a common operating platform for marketers to plan and develop campaigns and budgets across all marketing channels, according to a company statement.
Online advertising company DoubleClick will now be able to offer clients management assistance in traditional marketing channels, such as print and television.
DoubleClick said it plans to SmartPath’s products as a standalone product and as an integrated offering with DoubleClick Ensemble.
SmartPath, which is based in Research Triangle Park, NC, will continue to operate from there.
